BLACKTHORN — INTERNET APP

1. Use PHP 8.2+ hosting with PDO SQLite, mbstring and PHP mail enabled.
2. Upload the CONTENTS of this folder into public_html (or your website folder).
Include .htaccess and the assets, app and bin folders. No build step is needed.
3. Visit https://your-domain.com/index.php. The first visit opens setup.php.
4. Open setup-key.php in your hosting FILE MANAGER. It is in the same folder
as index.php. Copy the letters and numbers after "Setup key:" into setup.
The file is generated on the first visit and deleted after successful setup.
5. Enter your master-admin details, sender email address and timezone.
6. Sign in and verify your email with the six-digit code. Configure your services,
weekly availability, date exceptions and additional admins in Admin panel.

DATABASE: Automatically stored outside the public document root, in a private
.blackthorn-* directory. The hosting PHP process must be allowed to create this
folder. If not, create a private folder yourself using the hosting file manager,
copy config.example.php to config.php, and set 'storage' to its absolute path.
Do not put the private folder inside public_html or any publicly served directory.

EMAIL: Configure your host's PHP mail service and domain sender authentication.
No external email account or SMTP credentials are bundled. The app queues mail
and reports pending deliveries. See README.md for the scheduled mail command.

Apache: .htaccess protection is included. Nginx: use deploy/nginx.conf as guidance.
Never upload this app to static-only hosting; it needs a PHP server.

This archive is the actual PHP application, not a static mockup or preview.
You must upload it to your own hosting to give it a public internet address.

VERSION 2: Admin panel > Appearance provides five styles, your own app title,
and resized icon uploads. Enable PHP GD for icon uploads. For an existing
installation, replace app files in the SAME directory; preserve config.php
and private storage. The database update runs automatically.
